The International Conference on Nuclear Knowledge Management and Human Resources Development (NKMHRD), formerly the International Conference on Nuclear Knowledge Management (CNKM), organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), aims to review the global situation in human resources development and nuclear knowledge management, consider the current and future challenges and opportunities. It will provide participants with practical solutions that they can use to develop and maintain the human resources needed to support safe, secure and sustainable nuclear power programmes. Various issues related to specific human competencies, methodological or process knowledge and technology-related knowledge management will also be addressed.

The purpose of the International Conference on Nuclear Knowledge Management (CNKM), organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), was to provide an opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned in the nuclear sector related to managing nuclear knowledge and to share practical approaches to KM that can be used at the organizational, national, and international levels to develop and maintain a strong nuclear knowledge base. Various issues related to specific human competencies, methodological or process knowledge and technology-related knowledge that are needed to support the safe and sustainable application of nuclear technology will be addressed.
