  1. Good morning!

I hope you are doing well.
My name is Moreen, a Risk and Governance professional with extensive experience in IT auditing, cybersecurity, data protection, ESG auditing, and Knowledge management systems. I also serve in leadership roles within organizational transformation and knowledge management initiatives, with a strong interest in how emerging technologies intersect with governance, sustainability, and ethical systems.

I am particularly passionate about the intersection of technology, trust, and traditional knowledge systems, especially in the African context where Indigenous Knowledge Systems continue to play a vital but often underexplored role in shaping sustainable development practices.
For this conference, I seek to present on the theme of bridging Indigenous Knowledge Systems and modern digital governance frameworks, with a focus on how principles embedded in indigenous ways of knowing such as communal accountability, stewardship, ethical resource use, and oral governance structures- can inform and strengthen contemporary systems of cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence governance, and sustainability practices.
Through this presentation, I aim to contribute to ongoing scholarly and practitioner discussions on how Indigenous Knowledge Systems can be preserved, respected, and meaningfully integrated into modern digital ecosystems to promote ethical innovation, data sovereignty, and sustainable development.
