    The World Congress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied Computing (CSCE, formerly WORLDCOMP), initially the World Congress in Applied Computing (WCAC), quasi-successor of the the International Multiconference in Computer Science and Computer Engineering (IMCSE), the International Multiconference (in Computer Science), a series of International Conferences, and the International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Processing Techniques and Applications (PDPTA), is a gathering of researchers in computer science, computer engineering and applied computing. It is composed of 20+ conferences (all held simultaneously, same location and dates) providing research presentations, keynote lectures, invited presentations, tutorials, panel discussions, and poster presentations.

    WCAC was established in 2005, IMCSE in 2003 or 1995. In 2005 they have been organized almost together in the last two weeks of June, in the same location. In 2006 they merged to form WORLDCOMP, which became CSCE in 2017.3)

2) ACSE and its affiliated conferences (CSCI International Conference and CSCE World Congress, formerly WORLDCOMP) are blamed to be predatory (see e.g. WORLD'S BIGGEST FAKE CONFERENCES IN COMPUTER SCIENCE or WORLDCOMP = MoneyComp!). While this could be regarded as unjustified cyber-attack against the conference organizer and coordinator, who is affiliated to the University of Georgia (UGA), the university "asks him to remove any evidence of a connection between WORLDCOMP and the University" (source: The Red&Black, Apr 2012). Before, in 2010, the DBLP Advisory Board decided to discontinue indexing these conferences (see e.g. IKE or SWWS). The CSCE World Congress series (formerly WORLDCOMP) is sponsored by the World Academy of Science until 2016, after that by ACSE, established in 2013. Only the 2020 CSCE World Congress conferences are explicitly published by Springer. (see e.g. ICDATA-IKE proceedings) In general the proceedings of the conferences are or have been published by the Computer Science Research, Education, & Applications Press (CSREA Press).
