The German Conference on Artificial Intelligence (KI), the Deutsche Jahrestagung für Künstliche Intelligenz (KI), formerly the German Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (GWAI), is organized in cooperation with the Section for Artificial Intelligence (SIG AI) of the German Informatics Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI). KI brings together academic and industrial researchers from all areas of Artificial Intelligence, providing an ideal place for exchanging news and research results on theory and applications.

Relevant topics:

  • Knowledge engineering and ontologies; Knowledge representation and reasoning; Knowledge discovery and data mining; Knowledge-based systems; Information retrieval, integration, and extraction; Machine learning

Relevant workshops:

  • 2007-2020: Workshop on Dynamics of Knowledge and Belief (DKB)*
(Organized by the GI-Fachgrupppe “Wissensrepräsentation und Schließen”; Since 2015 held together with the Workshop Künstliche Intelligenz & Kognition (KIK); In 2017 the biennial workshop becomes an annual event)
Until 2013 the focus of the DKB workshop was on any topics of knowledge representation and reasoning that address the epistemic modelling of agents in open environments, and in particular on processes concerning evolving knowledge and belief both in theory and in applications. Since 2015 the DKB/KIK workshop aims to address recent challenges and to present novel approaches to uncertain reasoning and belief change in their broad senses, and in particular provide a forum for research work linking different paradigms of reasoning. It puts a special focus on papers from both fields that provide a base for connecting formal-logical models of knowledge representation and cognitive models of reasoning and learning, addressing formal as well as experimental or heuristic issues.
  • 2005-10, 2013: International Workshop on Knowledge Enginneering and Software Enginneering (KESE)**
  • 1997: Workshop on Knowledge-Based Systems for Knowledge Management in Enterprises
