The International Conference on Semantic Systems (SEMANTiCS), formerly abbreviated I-SEMANTICS and initially known as SEMANTICS, is a conference with pre- and post-conference workshops, tutorials, and satellite events, organized by the Semantic Web Company and its consortium partners.
SEMANTiCS is an established knowledge hub where technology professionals, industry experts, researchers and decision makers can learn about new technologies, innovations and enterprise implementations in the fields of Linked Data and Semantic AI. Since 2005, the conference series has focused on semantic technologies, which are today together with other methodologies such as NLP and machine learning the core of intelligent systems. The conference highlights the benefits of standards-based approaches.
In 2007 and 2008 the Conference was part of the Triple-I – The Innovations Conference for Knowledge Management (I-KNOW), New Media Technology (I-MEDIA) and Semantic Systems (I-SEMANTICS), Graz, Austria. From 2009 to 2013 it was held concurrently with the International Conference on Knowledge Management and Knowledge Technologies (I-KNOW) in Graz, Austria.
In 2020 an US and European edition were scheduled. The US edition was fully postponed to 2021 and finally cancelled, the EU edition in parts.
