The International Conference on Semantic Systems (SEMANTiCS), formerly the I-SEMANTICS, is one of the largest conferences in Europe in the field of semantic systems and the Semantic Web. It is the meeting place for professionals who make semantic computing work, and understand its benefits and know its limitations. Every year, SEMANTiCS attracts information managers, IT-architects, software engineers, and researchers, from organisations ranging from NPOs, universities, public administrations to the largest companies in the world.
The SEMANTiCS program is a rich mix of technical talks, panel discussions of important topics, and presentations by people who make things work – just like you. In addition, attendees can network with experts in a variety of fields. These relationships provide great value to organisations as they encounter subtle technical issues. The expertise gained by SEMANTiCS attendees has a long-term impact on their careers and organisations.
These factors make SEMANTiCS the major event for our community bridging between research, industry and public administration.
From 2007 and 2008 it was held concurrently as Triple-I – The Innovations Conference for Knowledge Management (I-KNOW), New Media Technology (I-MEDIA) and Semantic Systems (I-SEMANTICS), Graz, Austria.
From 2009 to 2013 it was held concurrently with the I-KNOW International Conference on Knowledge Management and Knowledge Technologies in Graz, Austria.
