1) The National Productivity Council (NPC) is a constituent of the Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), an Inter Governmental Body, of which the Government of India is a founder member. It is an autonomous organisation under the Department for Promotion of Industry & International Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry,

2) The Certified training workshop on "Knowledge Management Competency" is organized by the National Productivity Council (NPC) in cooperation with Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and Knowledge Associates International
3) The 2007 and 2008 conferences are part of a project to identify policy issues and strategies for the Government to enable "National Competitiveness in the Knowledge Economy" (2006-2008), sponsored by the Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India. The project is being jointly executed by National Productivity Council (NPC), Indian Institute of Tecnology, Roorkee (IITR), Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) and International Management Institute, New Delhi (IMI). The role of NPC in the project has been to organize the two International Conferences to provide a wider platform for deliberations on the various facets of the subject.
