The Data Strategy/Data Management Track @930gov, successor of the Federal Data Strategy Conference @930gov, the Knowledge, Information, and Data Management Conference @930gov, the Knowledge Management Conference @930gov, the Government Knowledge Management Conference & Expo @ 930gov, and a ‘Knowledge Management Comes of Age’ panel @930gov, represents one of the “Five Pillars of Government IT Innovation”.

The track is organized by Digital Government Institute’s Federal Data Strategy, Knowledge & Data Management Community of Interest, formerly known as the Knowledge, Information and Data Management Community, the Big Data, Knowledge, Information and Data Management Community, the Big Data & Knowledge Management Community, and the Knowledge Management Community, established in 2008.

  • 2020-2022: Federal Data Strategy Conference @930gov
    The Federal Data Strategy Conference will highlight the policy, activities and benefits of the Federal Data Strategy which is part of the President’s Management Agenda. The mission of the Federal Data Strategy is to leverage data as a strategic asset to grow the economy, promote transparency and increase effectiveness of the Federal Government. Subject Matter experts from Government, Industry and Academia will share successes to date and expected benefits moving forward.
  • 2017-2019: Knowledge, Information, and Data Management Conference @930gov
    The Knowledge, Information, and Data Management Conference @930gov provides an excellent venue for senior Knowledge Management professionals to network with their peers who are actively exploring, planning, and implementing Knowledge Management solutions across government. It is designed to be an intensive, professional education opportunity for Knowledge Management practitioners and their colleagues focused on program management, information technology, business intelligence, e-learning, and related disciplines. (In 2017 it was announced as Knowledge Management Conference but re-branded to Knowledge, Information, and Data Management Conference.)
  • 2015-2016: Knowledge Management Conference @930gov
    At the Knowledge Management Conference Civilian Agency and DoD Knowledge Management professionals review Knowledge Management, Business intelligence, Data Warehousing and Big Data strategies, solutions and tools for improved business operations and decision-support.
  • 2014: Government Knowledge Management Conference & Expo
    At the Government Knowledge Management Conference & Expo Knowledge Management professionals will meet to network and share their respective experiences to improve decision making and information-sharing across government operations. The conference will address how Knowledge Management strategies, technologies, and solutions within the public sector will improve interoperability, business operations, and decision-support.

Predecessor of this @930gov event series may be the Department of Defense Knowledge Management Conference & Expo (DoD KM; 2009-2010) and the Government Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence Conference & Expo (2008).

  • 2009-2010: Department of Defense Knowledge Management Conference & Expo (DoD KM)
    The Department of Defense Knowledge Management Conference & Expo (DoD KM) is an intensive one-day program to review the significant progress made by the DoD and military services to employ Knowledge Management tools and techniques for improved interoperability, business operations, and decision-support. The conference will highlight successful knowledge sharing initiatives underway, cross-boundary collaborations by DoD stakeholders, as well as barriers to further progress and discussion of how to remove them.
  • 2008: Government Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence Conference & Expo
    The Government Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence Conference & Expo will address how Knowledge management and Business Intelligence strategies, technologies, and solutions within the public sector lead to better business outcomes. Knowledge management and Business Intelligence professionals will attend to discuss lessons learned, best practices, and technology applications from a practical perspective.
