3) The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a project funded by the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) which provides e-learning through online Web and Video courses. It is a joint initiative by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur,. Roorkee, Guwahati and Madras) and the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras as coordinating Institute.
