Notes:

1) MUBS was established in 1997 by a merger of the MAK Faculty of Commerce (FOC; est. 1987; formerly Department of Commerce, MAK Faculty of Social Sciences, est. 1971) and the National College of Business Studies (NCBS; est. 1986; formerly Uganda College of Commerce (UCC), Nakawa, est. 1947). In 2000 it became a constituent college of MAK, in 2001 a public tertiary institution affiliated to MAK. Since 2006 MUBS is in transition to become independent from MAK under the name Metropolitan Universal Business School (MUBS). In 2012 this independence and name change was announced but until today (6/2023) it has not happened.
2) In 2021, the MUBS-K4D was established in collaboration with the School of Knoweldge Sciences (SKS) of the Knowledge for Development Partnership (K4DP) and Knowledge Hub Uganda (KHU; aka Kampala. Knowledge. City), initiatives of KMA Knowledge Management Associates/Academy/Austria. In 2021 it was located at the Faculty of Management, formerly known as the Department of Management and Information Science. Since 2022 it is not anymore under any faculty.
3) MUBS-K4D Centre is part of the multi-stakeholder partnership "Knowledge Partnership Uganda" (est. in 2018; planned as Knowledge Partnership Kampala; launched by the Knowledge for Development Partnership (K4DP) and the Knowledge Hub Uganda (KHU; aka Kampala. Knowledge. City), a sister company of KMA Knowledge Management Associates/Academy/Austria.
