The Special Libraries Conference (SLC), formerly the Special Libraries Association Conference & Info-Expo (SLA Conference & Info-Expo) and the Special Libraries Association Convention, is the annual conference and exposition of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) – in general a three-days conference with two-days pre-conference activities (continuing education/certificate classes). It is produced for Information Professionals, Collections Managers, Research/Intelligence Professionals, Information Center Managers, Knowledge Managers, Web Developers, Information Analysts, Consultants, Content Managers, Educators, Content Rights Managers, Library/Information School Students… And the Ambitious.
Since October 2025 SLA is part of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) and since 2026 SLC is held together with the Information Science Summit (ISS or IS Summit), hosted by the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), which aims to discuss current developments and future directions in the field
The Information Science Summit & Special Libraries Conference (ISS/SLC) will explore new frontiers of information science and librarianship through the lens of both practicing information scientists and academic researchers. It will bring together the people who tackle wicked information challenges every day with those who study the best practice in solving wicked information challenges.
