Das Internationale Symposium für Informationswissenschaft (ISI) ist die zentrale wissenschaftliche Konferenz der deutschsprachigen Informationswissenschaft. Die ISI findet alle zwei Jahre an wechselnden Standorten statt und beschäftigt sich mit den zentralen Themen der Informationswissenschaft sowie den wechselnden Anforderungen, die an die Informationswissenschaft gestellt werden. Dies drückt sich in dem jeweiligen Tagungsmotto aus, das ein für das Fach aktuelles Thema akzentuiert.
