Notes:

1) Predecessors of Center for Systems Awareness are the not-for-profit Society for Organizational Learning North America (2012/5-2018), the not-for-profit Sciety for Organizational Learning (SoL; 1997-2012) and the Center for Organizational Learning aka the Organizational Learning Center (OLC; 1991-1997) at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT Sloan).
SoL, based in Boston, in the Northeast USA, was created when the OLC was closed in 1997. Predecessor was the center's Organizational Learning Network (1995-1997) which was the result of the center's re-design to form a networked alliance. This was necessary after a commissioned review of the OLC by the MIT Sloan.
After establishing some chapters in the US (SoL Midwest, SoL West Coast; SoL Southeast) SoL aka SoL North America, Sol Boston, SoL North East, SoL USA or the Founding SoL Community went abroad to form a Global SoL Network or Community aka SoL International or SoL Global. The first international chapters were created in France, the Netherlands, and the UK by the end of the 1990s.
In 2012 Global SoL was formally established as the non-profit "Global Association of Society for Organizational Learning (SoL) Communities (GASC)" in Austria. The founding "SoL" in the US became "SoL North America", a member of GASC. The name was officially changed from SoL to "Sol North America" in 2015. By its name change it so recognized to become a regional SoL chapter under the umbrella of GASC.
In 2018 "Sol North America" joined forces with and formally transitioned into the Center for Systems Awareness which was initially called the Systems Leadership Institute. From August 2018 to Fall 2019 it wasn't a member of Global SoL. Finally in 2022, SoL North America was closed.
