Conferences
- The biennial International Conference on Information Literacy (ICIL or ICIL-Africa) aims to bring together researchers, information professionals, media specialists, educators, and policy makers from around the world to exchange knowledge and experience and discuss current issues, recent developments, challenges, theories, and good practices in the fields of Information Literacy, Media Literacy and Lifelong Learning.
It is the sister conference of the European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL), co-organized by the Department of Information Management of Hacettepe University, Turkey, the Department of Information and Communication Sciences of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and, since 2017, by the Information Literacy Association (InLitAs), France.
Since 2019, ICIL has been held in alternating odd-numbered years, while ECIL is held in even-numbered years.
