Notes:

1) From 2011-2017 Oslomet was known as HiOA, which as created through the merger of Høgskolen i Oslo (HiO; English: Oslo University College) and the Høgskolen i Akershus (HiAk; English: Akershus University College). Both university colleges have been created in 1994 through the merger of several smaller colleges.
2) The Department of Archive, Library and Information Studies together with the Department of Journalism and Media Studies was formerly known as Faculty of Journalism, Library and Information Studies. It was created in 1994 by the merger of the Norwegian Higher School of Journalism (est. 1951 as Norwegian Journalist School, aka Oslo School of Journalism) and the National Higher Library and Information School (est 1940 as State Library School).
In 2011 the Journalism subject area became the Department of Journalism and Media Studies and the Library and Information Studies area became the Department of Archive, Library and Information Studies, part of the newly created Faculty of Social Sciences.
3) The Department of Archive, Library and Information Studies and the Norwegian School of Library and Information Science, resp., is a founding member of the BOBCATSSS Association, formerly known as European Association for Library and Information Education and Research (EUCLID), and from time to time co-organizer of the associated BOBCATSSS Symposium.
