  • European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL)*

    The European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) is a biennial (formerly annual) conference co-organized by the Department of Information Management of Hacettepe University, Turkey, the Department of Information and Communication Sciences of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and, since 2017, by the Information Literacy Association (InLitAs), France.

    Information Literacy, Media Literacy and Lifelong Learning being the main themes, ECIL aims to bring together researchers, information professionals, media specialists, educators, and policy makers from around the world to exchange knowledge and experience and discuss current issues, recent developments, challenges, theories, and good practices.

    Since 2018 ECIL is held alternate to its sister conference, the International Conference on Information Literacy (ICIL or ICIL-Africa), organized by the Library and Information Service, North-West University, South Africa.

  • The Future of Information Sciences (INFuture)**
    The Future of Information Sciences (INFuture) is a series of biennial international conferences aimed at researchers and professionals from the broad field of information studies and related professions. The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for discussing both theoretical and practical issues in information organization and information integration. INFuture explores how developments in information and communication technology influence the future of the field of information studies. Education and research in information science and its interdisciplinary scope and application is of particular interest to this conference.
