1) "Danish School of Education" is currently the official english name for DPU - Danmarks institut for Pædagogik og Uddannelse (English: DPU - Denmark's Institute for Pedagogy and Education). It was formerly known as Department of Education (2012-2015), the official English name of the Institut for Uddannelse og Pædagogik (DPU; English: Department of Education and Pedagogy), and the Danish School of Education or School of Education at AU (2007-2011), the official name of Danmarks Pædagogiske Universitetsskole (DPU; English: Denmark's Pedagogical University School).
When is was independent form AU (2000-2007) DPU was known as Denmark's Pedagogical University (DPU, Danish: Danmarks Pædagogiske Universitet). The foundation of DPU in 2000 was the result of the merger of Denmark's Teacher Training College (Danish: Danmarks Lærerhøjskole), Denmark's Pedagogical Institute (Danish: Danmarks Pædagogicske Institut), Denmark's Pedagogical College (Danish: Danmarks Pædagoghøjskole), and the Center for Teknologistøttet Undervisning (English: Center for Technology-Supported Teaching).
2) The 2 years 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) Masters programme in Lifelong Learning is offered by the MALLL Consortium: Aarhus University (Department of Education, Faculty of Arts, Copenhagen, Denmark), the University of London (Institute of Education, London, United Kingdom), University of Deusto (Faculty of Psychology and Education, Bilbao, Spain), and the University of Melbourne (Melbourne Graduate School of Education, Australia). Depending on the student's mobility path it can lead to double or multiple degrees: Master of Arts (MA) in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management (Aarhus University), European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management (University of London), and/or Máster Universitario Europeo en Aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida: Politicas y Gestion (University of Deusto)
3) LLD (2000-2008) was a research lab at the Danish School of Education and the Danish University of Education, resp. It was a supporting member of the European Doctoral School on Knowledge and Management (EUDOKMA)
4) The Executive Master of Knowledge Management was created in cooperation with the Copenhagen Business School (Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy); The launch was canceled.
5) The Faculty of Social Sciences and Aarhus School of Business merged on 1 January 2011 to form Business and Social Sciences; Until this time the Department of Business Communication was known as Department of Language and Business Communication. Since 2017 it is a section of the Department of Management; The Research Group for Knowledge Communication was moved to the School of Communication and Culture
