1) CSU was created by the merger of the Mitchell College of Advanced Education (est. 1970, successor of the Bathurst Teachers' College, est. 1951, closed 1967) and the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education (est. 1984, successor of the Riverina College of Advanced Education, est. 1972, the Wagga Wagga Teachers College, est. 1949, and the Wagga Experiment Farm, est. 1892).
2) The School of Information and Communication Studies was formerly known as the School of Information Studies at the Faculty of Science and Agriculture
3) In 2021 the IS Bachelor and Master specialization in Information and Knowledge Management is replaced by Information Management; Course content changes slightly only .(last check: 9/2022) In 2009 the specialized courses have replaced the Bachelor and Master of Applied Science (Library and Information Management); Previously they have been offered by the School of Education when Education and Arts were two seperate faculties
4) The Graduate Certificate in / Master of Education (Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation) is offered by the School of Education and the School of Information Studies; In 2021 the specialization in Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation is integrated in the Digital Technology specialization; This course without the specialization was formerly tought at the School of Information Studies
