The Konferenz »Lernen. Wissen. Daten. Analysen.« (LWDA) 1) is a joint conference and workshop week of several special interest groups (SIG, German FG – Fachgruppen) and working groups (WG, German: AK – Arbeitskreise) of the German Computer Science Society, addressing research in the areas of knowledge discovery, machine learning, information retrieval, database systems, knowledge management, etc.

The German acronym LWDA stands for “Learning, Knowledge, Data, Analytics”, which changed during the times:

Following the tradition of the last years, LWDA provides a joint forum for experienced and young researchers, to bring insights to recent trends, technologies and applications and to promote interaction among the special interest groups.
