1) The National Project for Knowledge Economy (NPKE) was established in 2012; The National Knowledge Economy Center (NKEC), formerly the Kuwait Center for the Knowledge Based Economy, was established in 2015.
2) The KKEF was established in 2016 as the National Conference on Knowledge Economy (NKEC); Since 2018 the conference is delivered by the Knowledge Economy Forum (KEF), a Kuwaiti nonprofit foundation. In conjuction with the conference a Knowledge Transfer and Small and Medium Enterprises Expo (KT & SMEs Expo) was organized in 2018.
