The SIG-KM will facilitate members’ exploration of Knowledge Management for practical, educational, and scholarly purposes and will seek to collaborate with other SIGs and other organizations. - Special Interest Group on Social Informatics (ASIS&T SIG-SI)
The SIG-SI brings together researchers who are interested in the social aspects of computerization, including the roles of ICT in social and organizational change, the uses of IT in social contexts, and the ways that the social organization of IT is influenced by social forces and social practices. - Dublin Core Meta Data Initiative (DCMI)
- DCMI Knowledge Management Community* (2007-2014)
The DCMI Knowledge Management Community is a forum for individuals and organisations with an interest in the application and use of the Dublin Core standard in knowledge management. - DCMI/Networked Knowledge Organization Systems (NKOS) Interest Group (since 2009)
The DCMI/NKOS Interest Group targets to develop a Dublin Core Application Profile for Knowledge Organization Systems resources based on the work the of the NKOS work group.

(Host: College of Information, University of North Texas)-
The SIG-KM International Research Symposium showcases the works of scholars and practitioners researching the knowledge management field. The primary goal is to encourage and empower participants who are new in knowledge management. Through this symposium students and early career researchers can network and present their research to others in the field. This would help the participants to receive feedback on their work before submitting their research to peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, participants can find mentors and research collaborators beyond their immediate professors. These events open doors to new work opportunities and new connections.
