1) Ark Group was originally founded in the United Kingdom as Ark Conferences (est. 1994) and Ark Professional Education (est. 1995; name change to Ark Group in 1999). It was a professional publishing, conference and training company, focusing on various aspects of business with divisions such as Legal & Professional Services, Information & Knowledge Management, Finance & Risk, or Government & Public Sector. From 2001 onwards Ark Group was also operating in Asia (Ark Group Asia (Singapore); 2001-2007), Australia (Ark Group Australia (Sydney); 2002-2018), and the USA (Ark Group USA (various locations); 2001-2003, 2005-present).
In October 2005 Ark was acquired by Wilmington. In 2021 Ark in the United Kingdom was dissolved. Ark Group USA is now operating as Ark Group with a sole focus on delivering events for the legal sector.
2) The KM Summit was formerly known as Knowledge Management United Kingdom (KMUK); In 2018 for the first time KM UK and KM Legal UK are held together, branded as Knowledge Management Summit (KM Summit)
